Does this service work for all brands of skates?
No, there is only one brand of skates that have a quick-release blade holder currently on the market. However, this manufacturer sells the blade holders separate which you can have installed by your local pro-shop.
Free Spare Blades?
With all of our memberships, we will provide you a set of spare blades to use at no charge. This is your back up set, so be sure to keep it in your bag! When you send the dull pair in, you can install these while you're waiting for your sharp set. This way you'll always have blades to skate on. However if you cancel, you will need to send them back to us.
Do you offer blade profiling?
At this time we only offer blades sharpened in the standard 10' Radius. As we grow, we will be offering more custom sharpenings to enhance your skating performance!
What grinds do you offer?
Currently we offer two types of grinds with 4 different cuts:
ROH - (3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4")
FBV - (90/75, 90/1, 100/50, 100/75)
I am a Goalie, can I sign up?
Unfortunately, not at this time. As we grow, we will be adding goalie skates to our memberships!
What payment methods do you take?
We accept all major forms of credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, etc.) as well as Paypal.
I just signed up, now what?
As a new member you will log into your Account and request your first sharpening. Once you receive your first set, this becomes your extra set. Continue skating on your original blades until they go dull. When they do, log back in quick and request another sharpening. This round will have a return label inside so you can send your original set back to us for sharpening.
How many days do I have to return each set?
We give you 45 days to use each sharp set. If you do not return them you will be subject to a Lost Blade Fee as outline on the Terms & Conditions page. Don't worry though, you will be reminded throughout the month to request a fresh set!
How do I know what grind to choose?
There are a handful of factors that lead to the type of grind you should use. Factors such as ice surface, body height/weight, and position played all have a role in what grind works best. Visit our Sharpening 101 page to learn more!
How do your returns work?
We include a prepaid postage label with every sharp set of blades delivered so you NEVER have to pay shipping.
What do I do if I lose my shipping box and/or return label?
Hey life happens, we get it. If you happen to lose the box the blades came in and/or the return label, just give us a shout and we will get you taken care of.
Can I cancel my Membership?
Yes, you can cancel your membership at anytime. You will receive a pro-rated amount for the month you cancel in. As soon as we see your cancellation, we will send you an empty box and return label so you can place your our set(s) of blades inside.
What if I want to upgrade or downgrade my membership?
You can upgrade or downgrade your membership at anytime! You can access your membership details through the My Account page. Any changes during the month will incur a pro-rated refund or charge.
